This page explains in simple language how we ask you to use Exam Insights. It covers the same rules as our Terms of Use, but in words that are easier to understand. If you’re a student using Exam Insights, this is the version for you.

What is Exam Insights?

Exam Insights is a website that helps you study and prepare for exams. When you use it, we want you to feel safe and to use it in a fair way. These rules help everyone have a good experience.

Our rules for you

1. Be honest

  • Where the service or your school asks for details, provide them accurately and keep them up to date. You may be able to use a display name where the service allows.
  • Only use your own account — don’t log in as someone else or let others use your account.
  • Don’t pretend to be another person.

2. Use Exam Insights for learning

  • Use the site to study, practise, and get ready for your exams.
  • Do not share personal information (e.g. names, emails, or student details) when using AI features.
  • Don’t use it for anything illegal or to do things that break the rules.
  • Don’t try to break the website, copy our content without permission, or use bots or scripts to access the site.

3. Be kind and fair

  • Don’t say or do things that are unkind or that could harm others or Exam Insights.
  • Use our help and support in the right way — only ask for help when you need it.
  • Don’t share your account or password with others.

4. Respect our work and others’ work

  • The questions, designs, and content on Exam Insights belong to us or to others (like QCAA). You can’t copy them or use them in a way that isn’t allowed.
  • Don’t remove any copyright or ownership notices from content.

5. Don’t overload or misuse the site

  • Don’t try to break our systems, get around security, or put unfair load on the website.
  • Don’t use Exam Insights to compete with us or to make money from our content.

What happens if the rules are broken?

If someone doesn’t follow these rules, we may:
  • Give a warning.
  • Limit or block access to the site.
  • Remove content that breaks the rules.
  • Close an account.
In serious cases we may need to contact others (for example, your school or people who help with the law). We do this to keep everyone safe and to make sure the site stays fair for everyone.

Your data and privacy

We look after your information carefully. You can read more in our Privacy Policy. We don’t own the work you create on the site — that stays yours. We only use your data in the ways we explain in our policies.

Changes to these rules

If we change these rules, we will let you know in advance (for example by email) before the new rules start. You can always find the latest version on this page.
