# Exam Insights-Managed Setup

> How Exam Insights imports your users, grants licences, and handles ongoing changes for your school.

With Exam Insights-managed setup, our team completes the admin work for you. You send a spreadsheet of users, we import everyone and grant licences, and you request later changes by email.

Your school does **not** receive access to Manage School. All user and licence changes go through [schools@exam-insights.com](mailto:schools@exam-insights.com).

## How managed setup works

    Create a spreadsheet listing student and/or educator email addresses. Include each person's name and role (student or educator) if available.

  <Step title="Send it to us">
    Email your spreadsheet to [schools@exam-insights.com](mailto:schools@exam-insights.com).
  </Step>

  <Step title="We import and grant licences">
    Our team imports all users and grants licences on your behalf. We confirm once the import is complete.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tell your users">
    Exam Insights does not send emails when licences are granted. Your school decides when and how to inform students and educators that they have access.
  </Step>

  This option is recommended for schools onboarding large year levels or the entire school at once.

## What you need to prepare

A simple spreadsheet is enough. Include:

* **Email address** (required)
* **Role** — student or educator (required)
* **First name and last name** (optional, but helpful)
* **Year level** (optional)

We recognise existing Exam Insights accounts automatically. If someone already has an account with the email you provide, we link it to your school — no duplicate accounts are created.

## After setup is complete

Once we confirm the import:

1. Students and educators can sign in at [exam-insights.com](https://exam-insights.com) with their school email
2. New users create an account; existing users sign in as usual
3. Each user chooses their own subjects
4. They can start using Exam Insights immediately

## Requesting changes later

Because your school does not use Manage School, email [schools@exam-insights.com](mailto:schools@exam-insights.com) when you need to:

* Add new students or educators
* Remove or reassign licences
* Change who has access
* Ask about licence usage

Include the relevant email addresses and what you need done. We will confirm once the change is complete.
