# Manage School FAQs

> Answers to common questions about Manage School, licences, and user management.

  <Accordion title="Can we have multiple administrators?">
    Yes. Schools can appoint unlimited administrators. Any staff member you add as an administrator can access Manage School.

  <Accordion title="Can educators be administrators?">
    Yes. Educators can be granted administrator access in Manage School. This is common for heads of department who manage access for their subject areas.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can students already have accounts?">
    Yes. Many students and educators already have free Exam Insights accounts before your school purchases a licence. Manage School recognises existing accounts automatically.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens if someone already has an account?">
    If you add an email address that already has an Exam Insights account, Manage School links that account to your school. The user keeps their existing account and simply signs in as usual. No duplicate account is created.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do users receive an email when granted a licence?">
    No. Granting a licence does not send an email notification. Your school decides when and how to inform students and educators that they have access.

  <Accordion title="Can we remove licences?">
    Yes. You can remove a licence from any user at any time. The licence returns to your available pool and the user loses access to upgraded features.

  <Accordion title="Can we reuse licences?">
    Yes. When you remove a licence from a user, it becomes available to assign to another user. Licences can be reassigned throughout the academic year.

  <Accordion title="Can we bulk upload users?">
    Yes. You can upload a spreadsheet directly in Manage School, or send your spreadsheet to [schools@exam-insights.com](mailto:schools@exam-insights.com) and we will import users for you. See [Adding Students & Educators](/manage_school/adding_students_and_educators).

  <Accordion title="Can Exam Insights complete onboarding for us?">
    Yes. Send us a spreadsheet of email addresses and we will import all users into Manage School on your behalf. This is the fastest option for large cohorts.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can users change their subjects later?">
    Yes. Students and educators can update their subjects at any time in Account Settings. No administrator action is required.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do I need to assign students to classes?">
    No. Students and educators choose their own subjects. Administrators do not need to create classes, assign classes, or allocate subjects.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I grant licences later?">
    Yes. You can add users to Manage School at any time and grant licences when you are ready. This is useful for staggered rollouts or waiting for parental consent.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do educators receive their free licence?">
    Educators are included at no extra cost with student licences (within reason). Add educators to Manage School and grant them a licence the same way you would for a student. See [Managing Licences](/manage_school/managing_licences) for details.
